Scarborough sophomore sprint star Jarett Flaker won three individual events, and broke two state meet records to lead the Red Storm to their third straight Class A team title, and seventh title in the last eight years. Scarborough tallied 79 points while Deering scored 66 points to earn the runner-up plaque.

Flaker started his record breaking day with a 6.50 in the 55m finals, that time lowered the state meet record of 6.60 held by Colby Brooks (EL) and Ethan Beaulier (Noble). The mark is the second best in state history, only behind the 6.46 of Denzel Tomaszewski of Wells.

In the 400m in was a near record miss as Flaker broke the 50 second barrier for the first time indoor with his winning effort of 49.87, just .09 off the state meet record. The time moves him to third best in state history.

He closed out his day with perhaps his best race of the day as he shattered the state meet record of 22.65 in the 200m with his 22.32 winning effort. The time set a new Maine all-time best for the event eclipsing the previous mark of 22.35 set seven years ago by Mckenzie Gary of Mt Ararat.

Scarborough junior Anthony Clavette pulled the upset in the high jump as he cleared a personal best 6-4 to win the event. He added a fourth in the triple jump and sixth in the hurdles to help the cause.

The Red Storm got a strong effort from the 4x800m relay to open the meet as they moved from the fifth seed up to the runner-up position with a seasonal best 8:24.25.

Senior vaulter Drew Gardner added a second place effort in the pole vault with a 13 foot clearance.

The Rams of Deering won both relays. Alex Troxell anchored home the the 4x800 as the Rams clocked 8:21.34 to set a new state leading mark. The 4x200 relay closed things out with a state leading 1:33.87 effort which broke the Rams school record.

Senior Luc Harrison paced Deering individually as he scored third in the 400m (51.48), he would add a runner-up effort in the 200m with a personal best 23.22.

Mt Ararat sophomore Lisandro Berry-Gaviria was a double winner as he took the mile in a big personal best 4:22.72 as he made a move with 600 meters to go to pull away from a talented field. In the 2 mile he would pull away with 800m to go to win in 9:58.80, the only runner in the field to break ten minutes.

Dominic Creenan a senior from Westbrook dominated the 55m hurdles as he clocked 7.78 to win easily. He jumped a new personal best and state leading mark of 22 feet in the long jump as he repeated in the event.
