Class A Boys Outdoor Track & Field Championship Virtual Meet
The Golden Trojans of Thornton Academy enter the Class A state meet as the team favorite to capture the team title. They last won the state title back in 2008.
For Thornton they are paced by juniors Travis Snyder & Jason Montano. Montano is the top seed in both the shot put and discus. Snyder enters the state meet with the top vault in the state at 15-8 1/4, he also has the top marks in both hurdles and is seeded for 33 individual points.
The 800m will be a key event for the title hopes of TA as junior Landon Heidrich is the third seed, while sophomore Dawson Desrosiers is the fifth seed. That duo will also run on the 4x400 at the end of the meet.
Thrower Thomas Palmer will also be counted on for important points, he the third seed in the shot, and 7th seed in the discus.
Sprinter Dominic Dadiego will be looking to pace the Trojans in the sprints, he is the second seed in the 200m.
