There was no shortage of outstanding performances in this meet with three of the top teams in the state kicking off the season.

Triple jumper Emma White equaled the state all-time best in the triple jump with her winning mark of 38-8 1/2. White is now tied with Messalonskee's Jesse LaBreck who set her mark back in 2008. White also won the long jump with a state leading 17-7.

Cheverus sprint sensation Victoria Bossong showed she hasn't slowed down at all as the Class A state champion opened her season with a blazing 57.39 effort in the 400m, the time is the fastest ever run by a Maine high school girl in the month of April. She would add another victory with a smooth 26.47 for 200m.

Teammate Emma Gallant also cracked a minute in the 400m with a time of 59.67, she won the 100m earlier in a state leading 12.62, just off her personal best of 12.60.
