Day 2
The best sprinter in state history Jarett Flaker won section 6 of the emerging elite 400m in his second fastest time of 48.48 to finish 10th overall out of 48 finishers. Flaker's time ranks 3rd fastest overall in state history, he set the state all-time best at the New England Championship at 48.23. He had an adventurous travel to the meet as he didn't arrive until 5:15a on Friday morning after flight troubles.

Thornton Academy senior and Class A 1600m racewalk champion Lucas Judice came one place away from garnering All-American status with his 7th place finish in the 3k racewalk. Judice lowered his personal best in the event from 17:48.98 down to 15:41.88 from a year ago when he finished 9th.

In the girls 3k racewalk Class A 1600m champion Moxie Flanagan of Hampden Academy clocked a 16:27.44 to finish 15th.

Bonny Eagle 4x800 (Christine Toy, Hannah Stevens, Ami Beaumier & Kayla Raymond) ran 9:45.13 to place 24th in the Emerging Elite race. Toy had the fastest split for the group with a 2:24.7

In the Championship 5k Kate Tugman of Gorham ran 18:58.89 finishing 37th overall.

In the field Class A high jump champion Anthony Clavette jumped 6'2 1/4 to finish 30th, he had to start his mark on the track and navigate the metal rail for his run which was a tough adjustment for the Hartford bound senior.

Umaine bound senior Emma White had trouble navigating the 36 inch take off board, and unfortunately didn't record a mark. The Class A state champion and state all-time record holder in the event certainly had a great season.

Thornton Academy senior Allie Gross competed in the javelin where she had a best effort of 93-4 to finish 33rd.
