How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I started running in the 10th grade because I hadn't before and it was kind of on a whim. I wasn't really great during my first season which was indoor.

What has your summer training consisted of? How much mileage you putting in?

My running this summer was very disorganized and not quite as often as I had hoped. I ended up running just over 200 miles. I didn't do any workouts this summer but did some long runs so I wouldn't go soft.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

This season we've just moved back to class B, which we're excited for. I think this year we'll have a very good chance at seeing ourselves at the top spot and maybe we can end this season with a team win.

What is your favorite workout?

My favorite workout would have to be a long run, if that is a workout, because it feels so satisfying afterwards.

What did you learn from last xc season that will help you improve in 2019?

Last xc season I had an upward trend through states, so I'm hoping if I push myself harder during Training I'll be able to see my full potential. The biggest thing that I took out of last season was the community in xc. I didn't actually like running that much during my sophomore year and almost did soccer instead, but deciding to do xc was one of the best decisions I ever made. I really enjoyed how the social aspect of cross country was able to be taken out of practice. We have weekly dinners together to promote team bonding

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

As a non runner I enjoy a good game of ultimate frisbee. I also enjoy being outdoors I'm always up to go for any type of hike or adventure

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?

Pre-race, I need to keep it light and fool around. It's always good to forget about the upcoming race and relax. Another ritual which is important is a good bathroom visit, you always need to go to the bathroom within half an hour of the start.

Favorite quote?

My favorite quote is "no speed limit" - Matt Todd

Snapchat or Instagram?

Instagram is superior

What shoes do you race/train in?

My running shoes are the Saucony Guide 10's, I've had 4 different pairs of them and my spikes are New Balance, kind of random, my coach gave them to me last year because he suggested that it would help me get faster. I have a spike in them that have been stuck since last years states.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

My favorite professional athlete is also Matt Todd.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food would have to be an omelette, it really is good at any time of day, I often make them as a post lunch snack.
