All-Time Maine Girls Triple Jump Programs

All-Time Triple Jump Programs

We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1995, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer.  While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.

We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.

Today we are going to take a look at the girl's triple jump. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of 92 teams visit the link below.

Edward Little ranks as the top girls triple jump team in state history. Ashley Cass ranks fourth best all-time in state history behind her 38-3 1/2 effort. Lindsey Visbaras ranks second for EL with her 37-0 effort. EL averaged 36-10 for their scoring five with every athlete jumping 35-9 or further.

The Purple Panthers of Waterville are ranked second behind the 37-4 efforts of Shelby Tuttle and Lynn Fleming, who rank in a tie for tenth all-time in state history. Waterville averaged 36-6 for their scoring five.

The Bangor Rams behind current standout Alyssa Elliott rank third as a program. Elliott has a personal best of 37-2 3/4. Behind her Tiffany Gray ranks second for the Rams, she jumped a best of 36-4. Bangor averaged 35-10 for their scoring five.

The Blue Blazes of Westbrook are the fourth ranked program. Recent graduate Nyagoa Bayak is the top jumper with her 38-1 personal best which ranks sixth best in state history. Another standout for Westbrook was Karima Ummah who jumped 37-3 1/2.
