All-Time Javelin Programs
We've been working to expand our vast results database this summer adding in several state championship meets dating back to 1995, and the plan is to continue throughout the summer. While we don't have every team's top athletes of all-time we wanted to take a look at the data we had to see what programs (schools) had the top performers in every track and field event outdoors.
We scored each team just like a cross-country meet, giving 1 point for the fastest time, and so on. A program's score is based on the top five performers in the event with the top 7 athletes acting as displacers.
Today we are going to take a look at the girl's javelin. Below are the top five programs based on the results we currently have in the database. For the complete list of the 102 teams visit the link below.

Edward Little is far an away the top javelin program in fact their fifth scorer just 3 inches less than second-place Sanford's top thrower. Cristen Wanser leads the way for the Red Eddies with a top throw of 137-11. Behind her, Britanee Nouchanthavong tossed it 129-0 with Frankie Lally next wth a 127-5 personal best. EL averaged an impressive 127-0 per thrower.
The Spartans of Sanford are the second-ranked program behind Julia Allen's 118-3 best. Nikki Farmer is second with a 117-10 while Kayla Rubin ranks third at 117-2. Sanford averaged 116-6 per thrower.
Cony High School is the third-ranked program with Katie Rollins leading the way with her 129-1 personal best. Bethany Dumas is second-ranked for the Rams with her 122-1 effort. Cony averaged 118 feet for their scoring five.
The Red Storm of Scarborough is next with Christy Manning's 123-4 personal best. Scarborough averaged 113-8 per thrower.
Seacoast Christian rounds out the top five javelin programs with Casey Trafton leading the way with her personal best of 116-9.
