Comments: Crowley had a great freshman campaign that saw her win the Northern Maine Regional title, and finished as the Class C state runner-up. Crowley ran a best of 19:34 last fall and showed she was ready for the spotlight with her impressive performances at the championship meet. With a year of experience under her belt, we should continue to see excellence from Crowley this fall.

How has COVID-19 affected you?

COVID-19 has affected the things I do everyday like the people I see and the places I go.

What has your summer training consisted of? How much mileage are you putting in?

My summer training has mostly been trying to get a good base for the season. I run about 20 to 30 miles a week.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

I want to improve on how I did last year. I want to beat my PR and get better places overall.

What is your favorite workout that makes you feel most prepared for success?

Running a 5K always makes me feel prepared because I can know my time and compare it to my times at meets.

What did you learn from the last xc season that will help you improve in 2020?

Last cross country season I learned how to really push myself during meets and I learned a lot about training and different workouts.

How is your team looking for the fall?

Our team is looking good! We have some new runners and I'm excited to get to know them and run with them!

How do you stay motivated when you don't want to run?

If I run right after I wake up instead of going on my phone or doing something else it's always much easier than when I have to stop what I'm doing to go on a run.

What is the greatest piece of advice you've ever received in the sport?

The greatest advice I've received is to go all out when you're competing and trust that you can push yourself and still make it to the end of the race.

What are the top three "little things" that you do to prevent injury?

To prevent injury I stretch, warm-up, and cool down, and always ice when something hurts.

What is the one thing you have done during COVID-19 that you have never had time for in the past?

When we had online school I had time to run in the morning six days a week which was something I had never done unless I was doing a sport.

If every day were a holiday, what would yours be?

I don't think there's any holiday I would want to have every day.

Favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject is math or English.

If you could go on a run with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?

If I could run with anyone I would run with Bobbi Gibb.

If your teammates gave you a superlative, what would it be?

My superlative would be being the shortest.
