After the state cross-country meet was canceled last Monday Mt. Ararat junior Grady Satterfield knew he wanted to get in one last hard effort to see how fast he could run for 5k. Satterfield ranked third in the Maine MileSplit this cross-country took advantage of the nice weather over the weekend and completed his time trial last Sunday. The junior clicked off some very consistent splits early on and came through the 3000m mark in 9:12.28 before going on to close out the last 800m in a strong 2:24.75 for a final time of 15:22.39. Grady will be one of the individual favorites next fall during the cross-country season, and will also be one of the top 3200m runners in the state this upcoming outdoor season.
