Durgin Nabs Third at US 15K Road Championships

Emily Durgin continued her strong running on the roads in 2021 at the USATF 15-K Championships hosted by the Gate River Run in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday. Durgin covered the opening 5k in 15:56 while running in the top three. She would stick in third place for the remainder of the race crossing the finish line in a personal best 49:29. The third-place finish is the highest finish for Emily in a USATF event.

In January she lowered her personal best in the half marathon to 1:09:46 at the Las Vegas Gold Elite Half Marathon en-route to a third-place finish.

In the men's race, Madison native Matt McClintock ran to a 14th place finish with his 44:41 effort.
