2021 Class A Boys State XC Championship Race.
Maine State Cross-Country Championship meets have been held at the Troy Howard Middle School since 2003, we've compiled the top 500 performers over that time between the three classes. This is the updated list containing the 2021 performances. It was a record day as Abbott Valentine ran the fastest time in a Maine cross-country state meet with his 15:34.44 winning effort in the Class A meet to surpass the 2018 record set by current Notre Dame Irish runner Lisandro Berry-Gaviria at 15:35.40 while running for the Mt. Ararat Eagles. Bangor senior Daniel McCarthy was the Class A runner-up in 15:35.79 moving him to third best all-time in state meet history. Mt. Ararat senior Grady Satterfield jumped into the top 20 with his 16:00.20 effort at 19th.
