This week's rising star in Maine is MDI Sophomore Miles Burr.
Miles has had a successful outdoor season thus far, in a variety of events. He holds team season bests in the 100m (11.18), 200m (22.68), 400m (53.74), long jump (19-10.5), and triple jump (41-0.25). His 100m and 200m marks rank him as the top sophomore in the state and he ranks 4th (100m) and 3rd (200m) among all classes.
According to our Milesplit records, Miles' 100m and 200m personal bests are MDI team records.
Miles had a very strong indoor 2021-2022 season, earning individual Class B state titles in the 55m (6.68) and 200m (23.00). He shows great promise to continue an awesome outdoor season. It is exciting to see how he will continue to make his mark in Maine and New England track & field in the next several seasons.
