2022 Outlook:
Bonny Eagle returns a team of underclassmen that will try to compete for a top spot in Class A in 2022. Their top 4 returning athletes are all very accomplished. Xavier Lemieux and Tyler Gilbert both had great seasons over 3200m, with Lemieux running a blazing 10:05 at the State Championships. Rowan McDonald was the Class A racewalk champion and Harrison Dunne was the fastest freshman in the state over 800m. The Scot's weakness is obvious, however: they have no clear 5th runner. All of their other returning runners two minutes or more behind Dunne. The question becomes "Can Bonny Eagle find a solid 5th runner?" If they can, they could compete for a top 3 position in Class A, or maybe even the title. This team will likely be even more dangerous in 2023, as they likely will not have any seniors as part of their top 7 this season.
