The Westbrook/Gorham Rotary Patriot's Day Road Race returned after a five year absence as athletes from Portland, Deering, Gorham, Westbrook and Scarborough high school participated.
RESULTS
Portland junior Nathan Blades was the first to cross the finish line as he clocked 10:55.02 for the 2.2 plus mile race. He was followed by his teammates Benjamin Prestes (11:15.38), Jason Hargesheimer (11:51.42) and Aran Johnson (11:58.21).
On the girls side it was another Portland Bulldog as sophomore Samantha Moore took top honors in 13:21.97. She was followed by teammate Ava Chadbourne (14:16.40), and Westbrook's Julia Gozdziewicz (15:29.79)
