When and how did you get into track and field?

I've always liked to run and just remember wanting to run because my siblings all ran too.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

Myself - I try to focus on doing my best for each event I attend based on how I train.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

Clearing 11' in the pole vault and qualifying for high school nationals in both pole vault and racewalk.

How has track and field impacted your life?

Track has allowed me to travel and meet many amazing athletes across the country.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The pandemic and not having any facility to train in for 3 years of high school for pole vault.

How do you prepare for competitions?

I focus on my schoolwork and train hard.

What influence has your coach had on your high school career?

They have always been supportive in all my events.


Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of track and field?

I am a Girl Scout, raise rabbits, and sing with the Portland community chorus, color guard in marching band, and play French horn and upright bass in band and orchestra at school and I like to run marathons.

What are your college plans?

I will be attending Western Michigan University to study Aviation Flight Science and plan on becoming a commercial airline pilot flying internationally.

What are your long-term goals?

I plan to pole vault in college and will be running the NYC marathon in November.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

My parents, siblings, and all my coaches for their support and coaching.

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

Work hard in both the classroom and the field.
