Houlton/GHCA junior Teanne Ewings had one of the best cross-country seasons in state history. While Ewings had to run in the shadow of Ruth White she showed that she is a special talent. On the season Ewings ran under 18 minutes for 5k five times on the season including her personal best 17:15.47 effort from the Maine XC Festival of Champions. The time from FOC ranks Ewings number two performer in state history for the XC 5k distance. Teanne was the Class C and New England runner-up this fall. Class A champion Samantha Moore of Portland had an outstanding fall clocking a best of 18:02.95. She earned All-New England honors as well. A total of eight athletes from the class of 2025 broke the 20-minute barrier.
