Pi Crosby of Waynflete improved his time from 2023 by 1:22.04 as he lowered his personal best from 18:10 to 16:47.
After the 2024 Southern Maine Classic this weekend we decided to take a deeper dive into the statistics to see what athletes improved on their 2023 5k best at the meet. While the conditions weren't perfect with the temperatures hovering around 80 there were a plethora of athletes who recorded multiple-minute PRs on the course at Narragansett School in Gorham. On the boys' side, it was Urijah Oliver of Winthrop who improved his 2023 5k best from 2023 to an astounding 4:17.96.
