The Class A Boys State Championship meet promises to be a good one with top-end talent capable of breaking many records, and a handful of teams capable of taking the top spot on the podium.
Scarborough leads the way with 79.5, the Red Storm will rely heavily on their distance team who are seeded for 37 points, they won the Class A cross-country this past fall. Scarborough will be seeking their 8th state title in the last nine years.
The Hawks of Marshwood are positioned well, and many may consider them the favorites, they are seeded for 70. Marshwood will be counting on sprint star Andre Clark (18 points), jumper/hurdler Isaiah Perodin (26 points), and distance standout Henri Rivard, who is in all three distance races.
Lewiston is next with 59 points, they have high jump standout Josia Katroli, 400m runner Cameron Harris, distance runner Enzo Giampaolo, and the return of jumper Fernando Kele who hasn't competed since early January.
