Girls DMR fast section is on the track, US#1 Shenendehowa. Kinetic leads at 1200m split (3:24.82), 400m split (58.7),Shenendehowa takes lead on 800m leg, 62.5 first 400m, but Kinetic charges back to take big lead into the mile leg (2:14.3) 800m split for Brianne Bellon of Kinetic. Lizzie Predmore on anchor for Kinetic. 2 to go at 10:27 (3:37 through 1200m)

 

Melissa Kurzdorfer NY, meet record in the girls weight throw 61-4, throw is also a NY State record.  The throw is US#3 all-time, and just 10 inches off the national record. Kurzdorfer will throw the SP on Saturday here at NIN and they hop a plan to NY for the weight throw at NSIC on Sunday, she'll be looking for the National record.

 

 Boys 5k final section is underway Kirubel Erassa 32 first 200m, only Max Straneva is going with him. Erassa in total control 4:28 at 1600m, Straneva 4:33. Erassa continues to motor as he is lapping most of the field. Wow 9:04 at 3200 for Erassa; Verzbicas year old record is in danger. 4 to go as he is moving up on lapping the entire field, his face is in pain. 12:35 with 3 to go, he is slowing. What can he muster in the last 400m, crowd is going wild, he needs 66 over final 400m to break the record 14:19.82 wow he just misses. It is US #2 all-time and a senior record
