Bangor Sweeps PVC Large School Titles

The Bangor girls rolled to the PVC title scoring 143.3 to outdistance runner-up Caribou 99.3, on the Boys side the Rams tallied 140 to runner-up MDI's 79. There were plenty of fast times and state leaders on the girls side as the Bangor freshman continued to impress. In the girls 400m Ally Vandestine clocked 59.5 in winning the 400m, the time is the fastest in the state this spring. In the 100m hurdles Denae Johnson continued her outstanding season with a huge personal best and state leader 15.27, the mark set a PVC record. Darik Frye of Hampden pulled off the 400-800 double, running 50.77 & 1:59.58, he also anchored the winning 4x800 team with a 1:58 split & 4x400 team.
