MaineTrackXC is pleased to announce the performance of the week for Oct 25th-Oct 31st are Matt McClintock (Madison) on the boys side & Abbey Leonardi (Kennebunk) on the girls side. McClintock captured the Class C state title for the 2nd year in a row, clocking 16:00.91, the fastest time for all three classes. Matt lost only once all season, and looks primed to take a shot at a top 10 finish at the New England championship meet. This is the 3rd time this season Matt has been voted as having the performance of the week. Junior Abbey Leonardi of Kennebunk earned the girls Performance of the Week for the 4th time this season as she won her 3rd straight Class A State XC title. Leonardi blitzed the 5k course at Belfast, clocking 17:49.01 to win the state title by 13 seconds. Abbey's time was just off the course record held by Cassie Hintz (17:48), but was good for the #2 performance on the course in history.
