Class C Outdoor Track and Field Girls Team Outlook

The 2026 Maine Outdoor Track and Field season is upon us, and teams from around the state will be chasing the state title in June. We wanted to preview the top returning teams based on 2025 results, as well as considering performances from the indoor season, as we get ready for the first meets of the outdoor season.

Teams to Watch Class C Girls

Orono: The Red Riots are the favorites to win the C title this spring. The distance squad leads the way as they are seeded for 40 points. Senior Maya Boyington is the top returner in the 3200m and has the third-best 1600m. Clara White has the second-best 3200m among the returners and is a scoring threat in the 1600m. Audra Brooks is strong in both the 1600m and 3200m. Standout Easnadh Nobel To'olo is a multi-event scorer; she has the top returning marks in pole vault, long jump, and 100m hurdles, and the second-best triple jump. Addie Duran gives depth in the jumps; she can score in both long and triple.

Bucksport:  Senior sprint star Haley Rose has the fastest returning marks in the 100, 200, and 400m events. Her sister Madison is a top hurdler with the top returner 300m hurdle time, and the second fastest 100m hurdle effort.

Madison: The Bulldogs will rely heavily on senior distance star Bryanna Hagopian and junior Leah Harper. Harper has the fastest times in the 1600 and 800m among all returners, while Hagopian has the second-best 1600m and third-best 3200m. Ava Landry is a top thrower who has the second-furthest effort in the javelin.

Houlton/GHCA: Keitonya Skepple leads the way; she is a top sprinter in the 100/200 and has the second furthest long jump, and is expected to score in the triple. Andrea Ross is a top distance runner who can score in both the 1600 and 3200.

Winslow: The Black Raiders' strength is the jumps. Elaina Rioux is a top pole vaulter along with Brinlyn O'Toole. Belen Farnham is strong in the high jump, while Emily Daigneault will be a threat in the triple jump. Farnham is also strong in the 3200m, and Daignealt is a threat in the 100m hurdles. Kelty Pooler has the second-fastest 800m time.
