Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.
This Week's Nominees:
Sydney Leveille, Marshwood High School (Maine): Swept the jumps at the SMAA Outdoor Track Championship at Windham, winning the long jump with a mark of 18-5.25 and taking the triple jump at 36-8.
Hadley Oliver, John Bapst Memorial High School (Maine): Dominated the throws circle at the PVC Large School Championship, capturing victories in both the shot put (39-7.75) and discus (122-2).
Ella Cameron, Yarmouth High School (Maine): Posted winning marks in two of three throws at the WMC Championship, taking the javelin at 127-11 and the discus at 124-4.
Jacqueline Diallo, Traip Academy (Maine): Clocked a state-leading 25.25 in the 200 meters while winning at the WMC Championship, establishing herself as the top sophomore in Maine this season. Also captured the 100 meters in 12.44, leading a field of 37 runners.
Zoe Carroll, York High School (Maine): Turned in a strong distance performance at the WMC Championship, winning the 1600 meters in 5:03.27 and taking the 3200 in 11:23.95. Also ran 2:19.62 for second place in the 800 meters, competing across three events in a single meet.
