This Week's Nominees:
Bowen Mitchell (Yarmouth High School): Mitchell opened his season with a win at the Freeport Falcon 4k. Mitchell covered the course in 13:06.40; his winning effort was 22 seconds faster than he ran a year ago in the same race.
Atticus Merriam (Scarborough High School): Merriam cruised to victory at the Bonny Eagle Relays, crossing the finish line first in 8:44 for 1.7 miles.
William Morris (Dirigo High School): Morris started his senior season off in style with a win at the Laliberte Invitational. He covered the 4k course in 13:12.32.
Jackson Garcia (Poland High School): Garcia took the win at the Dan Dors Invitational at Lake Region on Saturday; he covered the 5k course in a time of 17:49.
Noah Seigh (Camden Hills High School): At the Panther 2-miler, Seigh was the winner with a 10:47.47 effort.
