Team Previews
With the #1 team in the state Cheverus not racing at FOC, the team race is wide open. There are a handful of teams with a legitimate chance to take home the title. Camden Hills enters the meet as the favorite based on seeds, they figure to see a stiff challenge from MDI, who is coming on strong. Also watch out for a strong John Bapst squad, along with Falmouth & Mt. Blue to be in the mix. The out of state teams will also figure into the tops teams. It's exciting to have such a wide open race, who will emerge?
Camden Hills comes into FOC ranked #3 (MTCCCA) & #5 MTXC, the Windajmmers are one of the most improved teams int he state this fall. A big reason for their success has been the additions of two talented freshman Willow Parker & Sam Morse. Parker will be the only freshman to run in the seeded girls race, so she'll have plenty of compeitition. Add in Brittany Bowman who is a 1A, and the Windjammer enter FOC as the favorite on paper. Can the young kids perform in their first taste on the big stage? If they do everyone will certainly know about Camden Hills in 2011.
