Catching up with Molly Carl
MaineTrackXC caught up with University of Southern Maine junior & D3 XC national qualifier Molly Carl to talk about her progression over the past year & making it to the national meet this weekend in Wisconsin. Carl has had a breakout fall winning 4 races, including the Maine State Collegiate championship. She was also the Little East conference runner-up. Molly earned her trip to the national meet with an 11th place finish in the New England D3 regional meet held last weekend at Bowdoin College. Carl covered the 6k course in a personal best 21:45, just last year in the same meet she placed 64th. Last spring Molly competed in the Outdoor national 1500m race placing 19th in the semifinal. In high school Carl was a standout for York High School, she won the 2009 Class B outdoor 300m hurdle title.
