Perkins rips new state leader at 200m, 26.59, Gorham Boys set new best for 4x200 1:36.11, BE Girls 4x800 10:21.70
Sarah Perkins of Gorham continued her string of impressive races with a new state leading time in the 200m of 26.59 today during the SMAA regular season meet @ USM. For Perkins this was an indoor personal best, & the only sub 27 clocking in the state. Perkins currently holds state leader at 55m hurdles, 200M, & HJ as well as the Class A leader for 55m. Other impressive marks came from the Gorham boys 4x200 which set a new sate leader of 1:36.11 along with the Bonny Eagle girls state leader in the 4x800 10:21.70 to edge Massabesic 10:21.87. Girls Highlights
- 200 Meter Dash - Sarah Perkins of Gorham High School sprinted 26.59 for the victor, which was a new state leader, followed by Olivia Jones of Biddeford High School in 28.80. In the junior division Audrey Weyand of Bonny Eagle High School smoked a 27.90 to win.
- Two Mile Run - Gabby Johnson of Massabesic High School ran a 12:06.37 that earned her the W with Mary Szatkowski of Bonny Eagle High School in tow at 12:09.47. They were followed by Alexandra Vayda of Bonny Eagle High School (12:20.55), Kristen Glennie of Bonny Eagle High School (12:47.56), Samantha Emmons of Massabesic High School (12:56.45)
- 400 Meter Dash - Mackenzie Joy of Windham High School blazed a 1:06.66 for the win in the jr division, just over Jessica Warren of Bonny Eagle High School 1:07.38,After that was Tori Daigle of Thornton Academy at 1:07.45. While in the sr division, Nicole Lanoie of Noble High School drove to a 1:07.14 to win, just over Deireann Stillson of Gorham High School 1:07.48
- 55 Meter Hurdles - Sarah Perkins of Gorham High School sailed past the barries for a 8.74 win and next was Marie Vermund of Thornton Academy (9.95)
- 55 Meter Dash - Impressive top speed helped Jessica Warren of Bonny Eagle High School win in 7.78 in the junior division. In the senior division Olivia Jones of Biddeford High School smoked a 7.85 to win and next was Chelsey Kendrick of Massabesic High School (8.00)
- 800 Meter Run - Samantha Pomroy of Noble High School held strong for a winning time of 2:28.89, trailed by Jocelyn Acheson of Massabesic High School and her 2:29.95, Samantha Cox of Bonny Eagle High School (2:30.77)
- High Jump - Anna Madore of Thornton Academy got over 4-10 in her victory in the sr division. With the bar at 4-10, Carly McKenna of Thornton Academy gets the gold in the junior division
- Long Jump - Audrey Weyand of Bonny Eagle High School lept 16-0.5 to get first in the junior division. followed by: Amanda Arnold of Thornton Academy (15-5.75), Carly McKenna of Thornton Academy (15-5.5). Hitting a big 16-3 jump, Marie Vermund of Thornton Academy wins the senior division
- Pole Vault - Sophia Swiatek of Gorham High School sailed over 8-6 for the win
- Shot Put - Kaeleigh Harrison of Thornton Academy hurled a victorious 29-10 to win the jr. division. in the sr division Ashley Belanger of Biddeford High School hurled a victorious 31-11.25, followed by: Patty Smith of Gorham High School (29-11), Mirah Mondor of Thornton Academy (29-7.75)

- Pole Vault - With the bar at 11-0, Troy Lambert of Gorham High School gets the gold
- Shot Put - Nice toss of 43-10.5 for the victory by Chandler Davidson of Noble, the throw was a new leagie record, followed by: Chhay Ouch of Biddeford High School (42-2.75).
