The Bangor girls dominated the EMITL Championship scoring 150 points, Old Town & Hermon tied for 2nd with 49. On the boys side the Rams tallied 122 with Hampden Academy the runner-up with 75.5. Two league records were broken, Teal Jackson of Brewer shattered the 200m record 25.87, while Tiffany Gray of Bangor broke her own Long jump mark by 1/4" with a jump of 17-5. Jackson had a huge day as she won the 55m in 7.43 a personal best, ran the state #2 time in the 400m 59.31, then closed it out with the league record & state leader in the 200m 25.87. Matching the 3 wins was Aleta Looker (Ellsworth) who won the distance triple (Mile, 800, 2 mile) Looker clocked a personal best 5:17.42, she followed that up with a fine 2:19.37 before closing it out with a 12:07.40. Other double winners were Grace Maclean (Bangor) 55m hurdle 8.90 & High Jump 5-2, she also added a state #3 in the lj 17-3 1/2
On the boys side Miguel Caballero of Orono continued his brillant season with 3 more wins (LJ, 200M, 400M). Caballero jumped a seasonal best 21-7 to win, he added a 51.30 in the 400m then a 23.29 in the 200m to complete the triple. Dan Curts of Ellsworth won the Mile in a personal best 4:27.79, then came back to win the 2Mile in 10:10.36 to win by 20+ seconds. Donald Boyer of Foxcroft jumped 6-2 in the high jump for the win, he added another win with a Class B #2 r 41-1 1/2
