Girls Highlights

• 200 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School sprinted 25.87 for the victory to smash the league record & set a new state leader, followed by Maddie Page of Hermon High School in 26.96, Tia Jackson of Old Town High School (27.42) was 3rd , Kaylin Rogers of Hermon High School (28.10) finished 4th, Alexa Dufour of Old Town High School (28.10) crossed in 5th , While Jade Baumrind of Bangor High School (28.29)finished 6th . Other state meet qualifiers were  Abby Reynolds of Bangor High School (28.51), Michaela Milton of Old Town High School (28.79)

 

• Two Mile Run - Aleta Looker of Ellsworth High School hustled to a 12:07.40 win completing the distance triple, just over Miranda Monk of Bangor High School 12:11.43. They were followed by Caroline Driscoll of Mt. Desert Island High School (12:19.60) in 3rd , Nora Hubbell of Mt. Desert Island High School (12:37.53) wwas 4th, While Kylee Parker of Hampden Academy (12:37.63) finished 5th , Haley Lawrence of Ellsworth High School (12:48.46) rounded out the scorers. Non scoring state qaulifier was Elizabeth Labun of Hampden Academy (12:59.51)

 

• 400 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School smoked a 59.31 to win, a new SB, trailed by Tia Jackson of Old Town High School and her 1:01.06, Synclaire Tasker of Brewer High School (1:02.74), Laken Thomas of Bangor High School (1:03.11), Remay Burke of Central High School (1:03.68), Katerina Dagher of Bangor High School (1:06.24), Paige Rainford of Hampden Academy (1:06.39), Emma Fernald of Mt. Desert Island High School (1:07.07)

 

• 4x200 Meter Relay - Hermon High School 1:52.24; Bangor High School 1:52.33

 

• 4x800 Meter Relay - Bangor High School 10:15.09 a seasonal best took down Hampden Academy 10:35.30; Mt. Desert Island High School 10:38.55; John Bapst Memorial High School 10:39.31

 

• 55 Meter Hurdles - Grace Maclean of Bangor High School hurdled to a 8.90 win, trailed by Alexa Dufour of Old Town High School and her 9.19, Jade Baumrind of Bangor High School (9.31), Courtney Lizotte of Bangor High School (9.57), Sherraiah Grace of Orono High School (9.60), Rachel Karp of Brewer High School (9.68). Maclean had the top time out of the prelims (8.78) then Dufour (9.37), Baumrind (9.43), Lizotte (9.49), Grace (9.56), Karp (9.68), Cassie Braithwaite of Bangor High School (9.70), Emily Carlson of John Bapst Memorial High School (10.04), Synclaire Tasker of Brewer High School (10.09)

 

• 55 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School sprinted 7.43 for the victory a seasonsal best and next was Tia Jackson of Old Town High School (7.65), Maddie Page of Hermon High School (7.72) finished 3rd, Kaylin Rogers of Hermon High School (7.86) was 4th, Chelsea Kuzio of Hampden Academy (7.91) crossed in 5th, Samantha Milton of Old Town High School (7.93 rounded out the scorers. Jackson had the top time out of the prelims (7.57). Next was Jackson (7.58), Page (7.67), Kuzio (7.84), Milton (7.87), Rogers (7.87), Gabby Bryant of Hermon High School (7.99)

 

• 800 Meter Run - Aleta Looker of Ellsworth High School got it done, winning in 2:19.37 and next was Ashley Robinson of Bangor High School (2:24.05), In 3rd was Fern Morrison of Foxcroft Academy (2:29.52), finishing 4th was Kayla Marquis of Orono High School (2:33.93), Nora Hubbell of Mt. Desert Island High School (2:34.48) earned 5th place, Elizabeth Labun of Hampden Academy (2:34.93) got on the podium in 6th/ Non scoring state qualifiers were  Nelly Winship of Bucksport High School (2:35.00), Sarah Tatgenhorst of Hampden Academy (2:35.01), Riley Marquis of Old Town High School (2:35.21), Kayla Ray of Mt. Desert Island High School (2:38.02)

 

• High Jump - Grace Maclean of Bangor High School cleared a 5-2 to win, which equals the best jump in the state this  season, followed by: Gioia Iacopini of Hermon High School (5-0), Deanne Krapf of Bangor High School (4-10), Heather Soule of Old Town High School (4-8), Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School (4-8), Marina Dow of Hampden Academy (4-8)

 

• Long Jump - Hitting a big 17-5 jump, Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School wins (breaking her own league record by 1/4"), followed by: Grace Maclean of Bangor High School (17-3.5) huge personal best, Carolyn Benner of John Bapst Memorial High School (16-6) was a strong 3rd, Ida Arce of Hampden Academy (15-5.75) finished 4th, 5th place went to Marina Dow of Hampden Academy (15-4.75), 6th place was  Alessia Seazacqua of Old Town High School (15-1.25). Also non scoring qualifier was Maria Ullo of John Bapst Memorial High School (14-10)

 

• One Mile Run - Aleta Looker of Ellsworth High School earned a 5:17.42 win a personal best, trailed by Angelyn Masters of Bangor High School and her 5:31.93, Nelly Winship of Bucksport High School (5:34.42) nabbed 3rd, Caroline Driscoll of Mt. Desert Island High School (5:42.74) was 4th, Nora Hubbell of Mt. Desert Island High School (5:47.60) crossed in 5th, Haley Lawrence of Ellsworth High School (5:58.19) finished on the podium in 6th

 

• Pole Vault - Kayla Marquis of Orono High School got over 9-3 in her victory

 

• Shot Put - Ashley Flint of Bangor High School threw a 32-2 to win, which is her best throw of the season, followed by: Samantha Schultz of Hermon High School (31-5.5), Anna Bryan of John Bapst Memorial High School (30-4.5) was 3rd

 

• Triple Jump - Hitting a big 35-7.75 jump, Tiffany Gray of Bangor High School wins, followed by: Carolyn Benner of John Bapst Memorial High School (34-7.5), Cassie Braithwaite of Bangor High School (33-10) was 3rd, In 4th was Chelsea Kuzio of Hampden Academy (33-6), Casey Modery of Bangor High School (32-9.25 finished 5th, Marina Dow of Hampden Academy (32-7.75) rounded out the scorers.  Synclaire Tasker of Brewer High School (32-3.75), Leanne Violette of Bangor High School (31-2.25) also hit state qualifying marks

 

Boys Highlights

• 200 Meter Dash - Miguel Caballero of Orono High School took it home in 23.29 (his best of the year), followed by Roy Donnelly of Hampden Academy in 23.84, Peter Manuel of Bangor High School (24.10) ran well for 3rd, Nicolas Boutin of Old Town High School (24.12) was a blink behind in 4th, Joe Claar of Orono High School (24.53) finished 5th, while Cody Weaver of Central High School (24.64) rounded out the podium scorers. Non scorers that ran the state meet qualifying standard were  Josh Hoch of Hampden Academy (24.86), Ryan Faircloth of Hampden Academy (24.88), Kyle Jordan of Sumner Memorial High School (24.93), Damian Lambert of Bangor High School (24.93), Isaac Ocana of Mattanawcook Academy (25.11), Tyler Macdonald of Hampden Academy (25.12)

 

• Two Mile Run - Dan Curts of Ellsworth High School held strong for a winning time of 10:10.36, followed by Jonathan Belanger of Bangor High School in 10:33.03, Caleb Halvorson-fried of Bangor High School (10:35.03), Tyler White of Orono High School (10:37.11)

 

• 400 Meter Dash - Miguel Caballero of Orono High School blazed a 51.30 for the win, followed by Cody Weaver of Central High School in 52.34, David Correale of Bangor High School (52.51) finished 3rd, Peter Manuel of Bangor High School (52.66) was right there in 4th, 5th place went to Isaac Ocana of Mattanawcook Academy (53.57), Joesph Belanger of Bangor High School (54.18) placed 6th. Non scoring state qualifiers were  Philip Faulkingham of John Bapst Memorial High School (54.71), Eric Davis of Bucksport High School (54.90), Sam Donnelly of Hampden Academy (55.07), Jake Levangie of Mattanawcook Academy (55.17)

 

• 4x200 Meter Relay - Hampden Academy 1:36.57 ran a seasonal best to just hold off Bangor High School 1:36.78; Old Town High School 1:38.40;

 

• 4x800 Meter Relay - Bangor High School 8:30.30 ran the Class A and state #3 time

 

• 55 Meter Hurdles - Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy hurdled to a 8.01 win, which is a new state leader, trailed by Donald Boyer of Foxcroft Academy and his 8.33, Isaac Ocana of Mattanawcook Academy (8.34) hurdled his way to a 3rd place, In 4th was Ryan Faircloth of Hampden Academy (8.43), Brandon Crocker of Orono High School (8.99) finished 5th. Toothaker had the top time out of the prelims (8.05), followed by Ocana (8.38), Faircloth (8.46), Boyer (8.51)

 

• 55 Meter Dash - Roy Donnelly of Hampden Academy smoked a 6.82 to win, a new SB, trailed by Joe Claar of Orono High School and his 6.90, Nicolas Boutin of Old Town High School (6.98) was 3rd, Anthony Jackson of Brewer High School (6.99) finished 4th, 5th place was Ryan Wang of Foxcroft Academy (7.01), wile Sam Donnelly of Hampden Academy (7.08) finished 6th. Donnelly had the top time out of the prelims (6.90). Next was Claar (6.92), Jackson (6.99), Wang (7.01), Boutin (7.03)

 

• 800 Meter Run - Great race for David Correale of Bangor High School who won in 2:01.98 just holding off the  the 2:02.30 by Trey Williams of Brewer High School. They were followed by Jon Stanhope of Bangor High School (2:05.34), In 4th was Alex Shi of Bangor High School (2:05.60), Drew Vansteenberghe of Old Town High School (2:06.57) finished 5th, Ben Salinas of Bangor High School (2:09.46 rounded out the scorers. Non scoring qualifier was  Taylor Lee of Sumner Memorial High School (2:09.73)

 

• High Jump - Donald Boyer of Foxcroft Academy cleared a 6-2 to win

 

• Long Jump - Miguel Caballero of Orono High School lept 21-7 to get first, followed by: Logan Lanham of Bangor High School (19-1), Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy (18-10.75)

 

• One Mile Run - Great race for Dan Curts of Ellsworth High School who won in 4:27.79 and next was Jon Stanhope of Bangor High School (4:29.54) in a Class A #2 time, Jonathan Belanger of Bangor High School (4:42.45) finished 3rd, while Tyler White of Orono High School (4:42.85) nabbed a 4th, 5th place went to freshman Jacob Archer of Bangor High School (4:51.63), Luke Rand of Brewer High School (4:52.58) got on the podium in 6th

 

• Pole Vault - David Frederick of Orono High School cleared a 12-0 to win, followed by: Joseph Hayden of Brewer High School (11-6), Conor Patrick of Hampden Academy (11-6), Nate Ivey of Bangor High School (11-0)

 

• Shot Put - Trevor Alley of Mt. Desert Island High School threw a 44-2.5 to win, which is his best throw of the season, followed by: Scott Murray of Bangor High School (43-3.75), Eli Hughes of Bangor High School (42-9.75)

 

• Triple Jump - Hitting a big 41-1.5 jump, Donald Boyer of Foxcroft Academy wins, followed by: Elias Pasquerillo of Hermon High School (39-9), Andrew Toothaker of Hampden Academy (39-3.5), Cam Blood of Hampden Academy (39-2.5), Stephen Sharrow of Foxcroft Academy (38-10), Brandon Sperrey of Hermon High School (38-6.5)
