What was your most memorable race?
States at Bates college (my future home) during indoor my senior year. I fouled my first two throws and came back on my third to get me into finals. During finals I was able to PR by 2 feet and qualify me for nationals and NEs.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most?
Scoring 18 points at States this outdoor season, I was able to hold seed and help my team in the hunt for a state championship
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
I would of concentrated more on my training earlier in my career
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Obstacles: Breaking my leg my junior year a couple of months before my Indoor. I opted out of PT so i could throw and train with the team and recover at my own pace.
What will you miss the most?
What I will miss: My Team!! All of the athletes that have done track with me over the years will be missed. I will also miss my coaches who have put in countless hours into preparing our training and increasing their own knowledge of the sport.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Set goals for every season. Work hard in the weight room. Be coachable.
What advice have your coaches had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
My coaches have taught me that hard work prevails. They also have taught me that the only way to succeed as a team in track is through hard-work and teamwork.
What are your college plans?
Next year I will be doing track and Football at Bates College.
Who would you like to say thank you to?
I would like to say thank you to my teammates who have pushed me over the years. Also, my coaches who always did a tremendous job preparing me for meets in the post-season. Also, my family who supported me.
