ARARAT GIRLS DOMINATE/MTB BOYS EDGE MTA FULL RESULTS
The Mt. Ararat girls team dominated against some pretty good competition in a four team KVAC meet at Brunswick on Thursday. Mt. Ararat placed five girls in the top ten for a team low score of 29 points, followed by Brunswick (48), Morse (66) and Mt. Blue (79).
Individual honors went to Tiffany Tanner of Brunswick who toured the 5K course in 20:13. She was followed by Kelly Lynch (MtA), Tessa Cassidy(Br), Olivia Swan (MtA), Emmy Cox (MtA), Amy Franklin (Mor), Charlotte Recknagel (Mor), Lauren McNett (MtA), Katherine Gunther (MtB) and Alicia Caterina (MtA).
On the boys side, Mt. Blue took four of the top seven spots, but it was the strong run of normal #7 man Branden Thompson who nailed down the victory. With Mt. Ararat total of 38. Brunswick (60) and Morse (93) rounded out the scoring.
Justin Tracy of Mt. Blue and Sam Wood of Mt. Ararat battled all the way with Tracy emerging with the victory in an impressive time of 16:49. The rest of the top 10 were Josh Horne (MtB), Nathan McKenzie (MtA), Sully Jackson (MtB), Matt Gott (MtA), Dan Lesko (MtB), Nate Stover (Mor), Jake Demonsthenes (MtA) and Alex Nichols (Br).
