Dan Smith uncorks 172-6 in the Discus

(photo by Doug Austin-http://public.fotki.com/dugaut/) Dan Smith is returning to form in a hurry, as he unleashed a new personal best in the discus at a SMAA meet on his home circle at Thornton Academy, with his 172-6 heave. Smith appears to have returned stronger after his rehab of a torn ACL.. The Brown bound senior, is currently ranked 62nd in the US, ranked #1 in New England, and is also 30+ ft better than the number 2 thrower in Class A. His mark also moves him closer to the All-time state best of 177-8, a record which has stood since 1980. Meet Results
