Abbey Leonardi tunes up with a course record at TA (18:18)

Abbey Leonardi (pictured above) tuned up for next week's regional meet by obilerating the course record at Thornton Academy running 18:18, the fastest 5k in the state of Maine in 2009. The time took 35 seconds of the former record which was held by South PortlandHS / Middlebury College standout Andrea Giddings. On the boys side the race was much closer as Chris Dunn (Kennebunk) edged Tom Quentin (Thornton) by one second 17:18 to 17:19. Dunn lead his Kennebunk team to victory in the process. Full Results
