(Pictured above, Cape's Thomas Bottomley ran to victory in the boys race, clocking 16:14) The Cape Elizabeth girls tuned up for next week's Western Maine regional with strong race on their home course, Gullcrest field this afternoon, the Capers the #2 ranked team in the lastest poll, won a meet with a perfect score of 15 over Falmouth (who rested most fo their top girls), Yarmouth, & Lake Region. Individually Emily Attwood (Cape) continued her dominance over the WMC, clocking 18:11 on the the three mile course to win by 1:05 over teammate Rachel Nichols On the boys side, Cape Elizabeth was the winner with 18 points (1,2,3,5,7) to win over Yarmouth, Falmouth ( who didn't run their top 6) & Lake Region. Taking the race was sophomore Thomas Bottomley (Cape) who toured the course in 16:14, the time ties him for 14th fastest in course history. Full Results Photo Gallery
