Cape Elizabeth cruises in opening meet- Shafer & Tierney individual winners Sep 02, 2011

The Cape Elizabeth girls opened the 2011 season in dominate fashion by notching a perfect score of 15. The Ca (pictured left) pers had the top finishers overall in a meet against Gray New Gloucester & Sacopee. The individual winner was Catherine Tierney who covered the 3 mile course in 20:01 for a 1:18 victory over teammate Emma Inhorn.On the boys side, Cape took the team race taking places 2nd-9th. Individually GNG's Will Shafer was impressive, clocking 16:29, winning by 33 seconds over Thomas Bottomley (Cape) Check out the meet photos & check back for race video.
