TOM EASTLER MEMORIAL RACE WALK CLINIC/RACE

Clinic Schedule
9:00am - Athlete Clinic
Athletes of all ages and experiences levels are encouraged to come learn
warmup routines, receive specific race walk instruction, and learn exercises to
help learn to race walk with correct technique or develop current skills. Athletes
will be grouped into two experience levels: Novice - New to race walk,
Intermediate - Some experience and looking for coaching and feedback. There
will be no advanced athlete clinic this year.
9:00am - Officials Clinic
All adults (coaches and parents too) are welcome to learn the intricacies of
judging race walk. Opportunities to become fully certified in race walk
officiating. Practice judging alongside certified officials during the race.

10:00am - Coaching Seminar & Athlete Break
Coaches and parents are invited to come learn the race walk technique, how to
identify athletes who have potential in the race walk, how to teach and train
race walk athletes, and how to help athletes improve their form.

Clinicians
Come learn from some of Maine's most experienced race walkers and judges,
including Lauren Albaum (Forgues), Spencer Dunn, and Abby Smith (Dunn).
Combined, these clinicians have state championships, national
championships, Maine state records, over a dozen appearances on USA
teams, and appearances at olympic trials.
