Westbrook Relays Recap: Edward Little Boys win team title Derek Veilleux May 8, 2010

The Edward Little Boys showed great team depth to win the Westbrook Kiwanis Relays meet held at Westbrook HS. The Red Eddies tallied 101 points to defeat runner-up Scarborough by 15. Edward Little won just 2 events but scored well across the board. Leading the way for the champions was the 4x800 team, who clocked a new state leader by 15 seconds running 8:21.7, behind a 1:58 carry from Jeremy Theriault.  There were several other state leading marks on the night as well. Cheverus behind a 50.1 split from anchor Andrew Snyder cruised to a 3:36.2. In the boys discus, Beau Michaud  (Cheverus)got it out over 150ft, with a huge throw of 151-6, his teammate John White had a strong throw as well, notching the #2 throw in the state with his opening round throw of 147-2. Patrick Ciez (Windham) added a new leader in the triple jump with his leap of 41-10. RESULTS
