SMAA/WMC crossover: Greely meet recap

Big throws were the highlight of the SMAA/WMC crossover meet at Greely HS on Tuesday. In the javelin Erik Villandry (Biddeford) became the first thrower of the season out over 170 ft with his new state leading throw of 172-3. In the shot put Michael Burgess (Greely) had a big day breaking the 50ft barrier with a huge throw of 51-7 1/2, Burgess's throw was more than 4ft further than the previous state leader. RESULTS
