Emily Durgin opens 2010 season with victory | Cameron Nadeau takes boys race @ Cheverus

Emily Durgin (Cheverus) opened her 2010 XC season with a victory over 3 miles on her home course as she pulled away from teammate Fiona Hendry in the last 1/2 mile to stop the watch at 19:14.5. Hendry was 2nd in 19:30.9. The Stags the defending Class A champions looked awesome as they finished 1-3 and had 5 of the first 7 finishers. On the boys side Cameron Nadeau of Biddeford was the victor crossing the line in 17:45.2 defeating teammate Joseph Drew by 6 seconds. The 1-2 finish propelled the Tigers to the team win as they edged host Cheverus 34-38. RESULTS
