Madison's Matt McClintock (15:47) won his 4th MVC race of the season on wednesday on the 3 mile course at Wiscasset High School. McClintock was pushed for the first half of the race by Boothbay's Chase Brown (16:14) but pulled away over the last half to win by 27 seconds. This was McClintock and Brown's first matchup of the season and will be an interesting lead into the championship season where the two are expected to challenge for the State Class C Title. Rounding out the top 5 were Nate Schwelm of Boothbay (17:34) Forrest Cornelle of Lisbon (18:38) and Tom Brown of Boothbay (18:39). The Boothbay boys defeated the Lisbon boys 20-35 in the team competition. For the girls Lisbon's Meagan Thomas flew through the course with an outstanding time of 21:15 to win by 48 seconds over Boothbay's Sophia Thayer (22:03). Carrabec's Sikwani Dana finished 3rd (23:06) followed by Madison's Allie McClintock (24:06) and Wiscasset's Meagan Dodge (24:10) to round out the top 5. Lisbon was the only girls team to post a full squad so they won the meet with a perfect score of 15. RESULTS
