The York boys surprised the Falmouth boys winning the WMC indoor title Friday night, while on the girls side Greely once again showed it's team strength winning by close to a 100 points. There were several new state leaders highlighted by Will Wegener's 51.17 in the 400m, which was a new conference record. On the girls side York's Emily Mitchell popped a huge on in the long jump to become the first girl in Maine over 17ft this season with her 17-1 3/4 leap. Amanda Peterson (GNG pictured left) was the top girls sprinter in the meet, she blitzed her way to a new personal best and state leading mark in the 55m dash 7.50. In the final event of the night Falmouth regained their state leader in the boys 4x200m relay clocking 1:35.33 behind a razor sharp anchor from Wegenger.
