Where do we start, with the weather warming up so did the times & distances at Edward Little HS on Thursday in a KVAC showdown between EL & Waterville, The Purple Panthers showed off great team depth and quality winning both meets. There werre several outstanding performances, on the boys side Connor Harris (EL) cleared a state elading 6-3 in the high jump, while Nick Danner (WTV) regained his state lead in the javelin with his 175-2 toss. The Waterville boys 4x100 team cranked a new state lead crushing it at 44.81. On the girls side Olivia Thurston (WTV) hurdled her way to a new state leader in the 300m hurdles clocking 47.7. Additionally the Waterville 4x400 ran impressively to a new state leader 4:15.11. In the Javelin Frankie Lally (EL) uncorked a huge throw of 127-5 almost 10ft further than the previous state best.
