Scarborough's Nick Morris & Kennebunk's Abbey Leonardi won SMAA Relay titles today @ South Portland. Morris covered the 1.5 mile course in 7:36 to hold off Cam Nadeau (Biddeford) (7:37) by 1 sec to take the boys first race. On the girls side Leonardi showed she's fit cranking a 8:11. Abbey's time was 17 seconds better than runner-up Emily Durgin of Cheverus. The Scarborough boys won with a combined time for 7 runners of 57:13, 59 seconds in front of runner-up South Portland. On the girls side Cheverus took the win with a 5 runner totalof 46:16, over 4 minutes in front of runner-up Windham 50:25, with Massabesic in 3rd with 50:29. More to come...
