The Caribou Boys defended their home turf winning the Large School division of the PVC championship with a 5 point victory over runner-up Ellsworth. Dan Curts of Ellsworth was the individual champion as he dominated the rest fo the field to cover the 3 mile in 16:23.8, the runner-up was Matt Eager (PI) 16:55.5. In the small school division Bangor Christian was the top team behind 4 runners in the top 10 as they tallied 38 points to finish 16 points in front of the runner-up, Orono. In the large school girls race, a short-handed MDI team showed great depth as they managed to hold off a great run from John Bapst for the team title 36-39. Individually Aleta Looker (Ells) continued her impressive running by crossing the line first in 19:18.8 well in front of the runner-up Mackenzie Belyea (Caribou) 19:45.4. In the girls small schools race Rowan Wilson (Orono) was the finisher across the line 20:50.1 as she was 47 seconds better than the runner-up Jordan Richards (Orono) 21:37.8, the duo sparked the Red Riots to the team victory as they tallied just 26 points, Bucksport finished 2nd with 55 points.
