Hey folks, I’ve never written a running blog before or really any type but decided it was something I really want to do this season. For those that don’t know (probably most of you) my name’s William Janakis; I ran for Marshwood back in the day now I’m now going into my junior year at Thomas College. I finished 15th in the North Atlantic conference championship last year running 29:02 and am hoping to improve on those marks. Our team has a lot of excitement going on this year we are the biggest we’ve ever been, we’re hosting the conference championship for the first time (we’ve never hosted a single meet, this year we have two). Our coach Kerry Smart is also currently going through chemo for breast cancer and won’t be done until the Friday before our final race. As a team we’re really looking to break out this year and start beating some new teams. As an individual I’m really looking to try to start finishing higher up in races. Our first meet’s going to be Friday at New England College. This is all I will write for now if any one has any questions or other information they want me to start including just ask, there’s no secrets to our training just being tough!
