MRC Performance of the Week: Kiera Murray & Ryan Cadorette

Cheverus senior Kiera Murray ripped a 19:32 for 5k on her home course last Monday. The time was the fastest she has run on her home course in her 4 year career. Murray currently has the 2nd fastest 5k time in the state for 2013. Murray had a busy week as she added another win on Friday at a SMAA meet at Smiling Hill Farm in Westbrook, she ran 20:19. Murray is one of the individual favorites to win the girls Class A title this fall, next week she'll run at Festival of Champions against some of the top competition. This week Kiera recieved 37% of votes which was 34 votes of out the 91 cast!

Ryan Cadorette has been on fire in his first xc season this fall and last Friday was no exception as the senior cranked out a 15:53 5k performance on his home course. This was the first run on the new course at TA that goes out onto the Eastern Trail before finishing on the track. The time is the second fastest 5k in the state so far in 2013. Ryan won't be at Belfast so he won't have a chance to test his skills against some of the best in the state, but he has served notice to the rest of Class A with his performances so far this fall. Cadorette is consideed one of the individual title favorites in Class A.

Congratulations to both Kiera & Ryan on being selected as the Maine Running Company Performance of the Week
