*Explanation of “old” and “current” records: The league began in 1959. Starting with the 1983 season, the old Sr. Division (Freshman Div.) was no longer a part of the league, and its records have been retired. Also, divisions were changed in the 1982 season. The Sr. Division is now for eight graders and up through age 15 and any sixth or seventh graders aged 14 or 15. It was formerly for all 14 year olds including some 9th graders. The In. Division is now for seventh graders up through age 13 and any 13 year old sixth graders. It was formerly for all 12 and 13 year olds including some 8th graders. The Jr. Division is now for 6th graders up through age 12. Prior to 1995, it was for all 6th graders under 16. Since some records in the sr. division had been set by 14 year old 9th graders (before 1982), some records in the In. division has been set by 13 year old 8th graders (before 1982), and some records in the jr.division has been set by 6th graders 13 or older (before 1995), it was decided by the league to keep two sets of records. The “old” record was set before 1982 in the sr. and in. divisions and before 1995 in the jr.division. The “current” record was set after that date. In many cases the “current” record has surpassed the “old” record and replaced it.
