Tell us how your summer training is going?:

My summer training is going well. Keeping the miles up and the injuries down!

What are your goals for the upcoming season?:

My goals are always to improve from season to season. Not so much a goal but more of an expectation I have for myself is to be there for everyone no matter who they are, your competitors are just extended teammates. Success to good season is to stay injury free and to have good sportsmanship.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?:

This will be my 7th year running cross country. I started cross country as a 5th grader because my friend wanted someone to do it with her.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?:

Whether I run out of state or not will all depend on how I'm doing as the season progresses.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?:

I would have to say my favorite cross country course is Belfast.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?:

I think the toughest course for me is Twin Brook.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?:

In the regular  season I think the meet I put the most emphasize on is home meets. You have a chance to show your school spirit.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?:

My favorite meet would have to be New England's because the experience was just unbelievable. Being able to meet all the elite runners in New England.

Favorite cross country memory?:

When I was at Poland my favorite runs were the mud runs! For some reason tromping through the mud and swimming across Tripp lake made for the perfect practice. Now I have chance to make new memories with I new group of team mates and coaches.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?:

Well I have over 20 horses so when I'm not running I am spending the majority of my time with them.

What shoes do you train in?:

Since starting running camp last summer I have switched from training in New Balance to now mostly training in Saucony.

What shoes do you race in?:

I have always raced in Nike spikes.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?:

I don't really know who I want to meet. I have already met Joanie.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

Something most people don't know about me is that I have 26 horses I have to take care of everyday! It's a challenging balancing that on top of training and school work. It's just breaking me in for the real world.
