Tell us how your summer training is going?:
My summer training could be going better, but its going fairly well.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?:
16:30 in the 5k and making sure my team does as well as possible.
How long have you been running and how did you get started?:
I have been running since the 6th grade because I liked watching my older sister do it when she was in middle school. Now I do it because the people are awesome.
Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?:
Yes, at the Manchester Invitational again.
What is your favorite course to run in Maine?:
My favorite course to run is Belfast.
What is the toughest course to run in Maine?:
I have a pretty hard time at Twin Brook, I have never done as well as I would have liked to there.
What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?:
I put a lot of emphasis on FOCs and Manchester because they are the biggest ones.
What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?:
My favorite race so far in High school was Manchester last year because I told a everyone I was going to PR by a lot, and then PRd by even more than I expected.
Favorite cross country memory?:
My favorite memory is between Manchester last year, and my entire 8th grade season, because we won every meet but one with a perfect score, and the one we didn't was because someone lost a shoe at the beginning and ended up in 6th.
When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?:
When I'm not running my favorite thing to do is play bass guitar in music programs at my school, or with my cousin and aunt at a restaurant in Ellsworth.
Favorite quote?:
My favorite quote is our team quote last year. "There lives in each of us, a hero awaiting the call to action."
What shoes do you train in?:
I train in Nike Frees and kinvaras, but lately I have been having issues with both, so I am going to try others.
What shoes do you race in?:
I race in Nike Zoom Rival spikes most often.
What professional athlete would you most like to meet?:
I honestly have no Idea what professional athlete I would like to meet most, Off the top of my head I would have to say Galen Rupp though.
What is something that most people don't know about you?
I guess most people who don't really know me well wouldn't know that my mom was going to name me Oliver, but instead my dad decided to name me after my grandfather because his name is Bryce Robert Looker and my grandfathers is Robert Bryce Looker. Its a pretty cool tradition that I am planning to continue if I have a son when I'm older.
