Tell us how your summer training is going?:

My summer training is going quite well. I felt really strong at this year's Beach to Beacon. As much as I'd love to run 6 days a week, I cross train a few days a week. I've embraced cross training since my foot surgery this past December.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?:

My goals for the upcoming season is to lower my PR in the 5k and stay healthy and injury free!

How long have you been running and how did you get started?:

I developed a passion for running cross country and track in 6th grade. I played only soccer, basketball, and softball up until that point.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?:

As far as out of state races go, I hope to run in the New England meet and possibly Footlockers.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?:

My favorite course to run in Maine is the Belfast course, due to how fast it is. I will be putting emphasis on Twin Brooks. I've never run that course as well as I've wanted.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?:

I personally think the toughest course to run in Maine is Twin Brooks - especially when it's muddy.

Favorite cross country memory?:

My favorite cross country memory is between placing 19th in the New England meet my freshman year at Thetford Academy in Vermont and winning the Freshman Festival of Champions race in Belfast.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?:

When I am not running I love to shop, go to the beach, and spend time with my family and friends. I've enjoyed volunteering at Brighton Medical Center in the Simulation Center and it has really gotten me excited about pursuing a career in nursing.

Favorite quote?:

My favorite quote is, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." -Gandhi

What shoes do you train in?:

I train in Asics shoes.

What shoes do you race in?:

I race in Saucony spikes

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?:

I'd really like to meet Shalane Flanagan. What she has accomplished in distance running is amazing.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I don't think a lot of people know I have a twin brother. His name is Pat!
