How is your fitness as you begin the 2013 season. What excites you most about the coming year of HS XC?
I feel like I’m pretty fit but not where I want to be yet. I’m excited to do another sport this year, I’ve been doing soccer since I was five so it is a nice change to just run.
When & how did you get started in cross country?
This year will be my first, if I survive... I started because my teammates convinced me to do it and I’m glad they did.
What are the keys to your successful cross country training program?
Working hard and not overdoing it.
Who are the cross country competitors you most enjoy competing against and why?
I enjoy running against my teammates the most. To run against them helps me a lot because I run with them all the time so it makes it a little bit easier to race.
What are your goals for the 2013 cross country season?
I don’t really have a set goal. I just want to run fast.

What music do you rock while working out…
I don’t have any music while I run but otherwise it is usually Pandora on my Eric Hutchinson station.
Do you like to run in the mud or the grass…
The muddier and rainier the better.

Do you like going out or chilling at home…
I’m usually on the run - practice, meets, my little brothers run XC and play soccer so I’m cheering them on a their meets or watching soccer games. In my free time, I’m a big fan of just chilling in my room with my dog.
